About

The Boston summer of 2009 went along as usual; in some regards. Talent crossed paths with talent and the music and entertainment scene in Boston teemed with old and new blood. As with any metropolitan area, hidden talent is rampant. In the spirit of never missing an incredible show, Michael Murphy of the greater Boston area started researching ways to put all the good music and entertainment in one place. Local and fresh, Who's Playing Boston caters to the new talent; giving them the opportunity to keep their calendars up to date and giving their fans the ability to find them no matter what and follow them as they scour the city for opportunity.

Now in it's infancy, WPB has the tools to provide invaluable schedules for the music aficionado. Big and small, the dates and times of each show are manually entered, checked against several sources, and approved by our moderator. We encourage you to suggest shows, artists, and venues. When you email us, you are communicating with real, passionate people.

Who's Playing Boston is built by music lovers to help the Boston music scene become a more navigable place. Our city is running talent, we help you find it and make it easier for it to find you.
